Awhile back I bought a black IKEA-Gustav desk, so I had a place to store my makeup and hair products. I’ve been doing experiments on my appearance, using this desk, for a few years. But a few months ago, I wasn’t too happy with the heavy dark color of the desk anymore. So I decided to paint it white, which went surprisingly well. In addition to that I wanted to apply some Star Wars themed decor. So I chose to cut out the logo of the Jedi Order out of gray adhesive foil. As well as the famous quote “Do or do not. There is no try.” which is one of my all-time favorites. I am more than happy with the result, so please feel free to check it out for yourselves:
Just like every other superheroine I need a wide variety of shoes too kick butt on every occastion possible. So I decided to pimp my boring IKEA shoe cabinet and make a Wonder Woman super shoe storage system out of it. Unfortunately, mine wasn’t white in color to begin with, so I had to apply a white base coat first. I used acrylic paint for the blue, red and gold, but used black and white adhesive foil for the lining of the logo as well as the stars. It’s not perfect when you look closely, but overall it’s a really nice and colorful touch to my living room. Please click the “continue reading” button to see the pictures.
