[Finished] in January 2015

finished2015a

I didn’t make too many New Year’s resolutions for 2015, but one of them is to wirte a [Finished] post every month. Another one is to read at least two books every month. I used to read mostly comicbooks to keep up with all the series I’m following, which led to the neglect of real reading. So I decided to not pressure myself any longer to keep up with everything and just read whatever I am in the mood for. I will try my best to stick to these two resolutions, so let’s see how it turns out. 😉

[Finished] in September 2014

finished_09_14

Yay, this might be the first time I’m not incredibly late with my [Finished] article! 😀 Again, for September it’s the same procedure as every month. I’ll give you a short & spoiler-free recap of all the books, comics and TV shows I have finished. The little heart marks my favorite ❤ in each category. Another new thing I’ll use from now on are these little headphones  in the books-section for all the audio-books I’ve heard. Enough of the jabbering, enjoy! 🙂

[Finished] in August 2014

finished_08_14

Here we are again. Back for another recap of what I have been up to in terms of pop-culture. I’m sorry that I missed the opportunity to share with you for the last 3 months, but I hope I will be able to keep you updated in the future.

You might notice the little hearts ❤ next to some titles. These are the ones I enjoyed the most, so kind of my monthly favorites.

However, without further ado: here is everything I finished in August. Short & spoiler-free as always! Enjoy

[Finished] in April 2014

finished_04_14

Oh my, I’m late with this one. So, april is over and I’m afraid it hasn’t been a great month for books and games (again). However, I finished quite a few comics beyond my usual Batman issues. I will share my opinions short and spoiler-free as always, so feel free to keep reading. 🙂

Tatooine Diorama Bookend

These are definitely the droids I’m looking for! This is not a still from the Star Wars movies, but a picture I took from my totally awesome bookend. It is not only useful to support my Batman comics, but it looks so very pretty as well. It is made from wood, with a typical picture of the Tatooine skyline with its two suns in the back, a ground covered in sand and action figures of C3PO and R2D2. And not only because I adore R2D2 to obnoxious extents, this is probably my favourite gift I have ever received, but because it is all handmade. See for yourselves how great it has turned out! 🙂

[Finished] in March 2014

title

So, from now on I want to use the format [Finished] to share with you guys, what I have read, played and watched in the last month. Unfortunately, I just came up with the idea to do so when march was halfway over. So please bear with me that I don’t have that much stuff to share, because I didn’t keep track of it all month long. I do not want to give detailed reviews, just to keep track and share a short spoiler-free opinion. However, there are a few books and comics to talk about, so please read on!  🙂

Wonder Woman Shoe Cabinet

title

Just like every other superheroine I need a wide variety of shoes too kick butt on every occastion possible. So I decided to pimp my boring IKEA shoe cabinet and make a Wonder Woman super shoe storage system out of it. Unfortunately, mine wasn’t white in color to begin with, so I had to apply a white base coat first. I used acrylic paint for the blue, red and gold, but used black and white adhesive foil for the lining of the logo as well as the stars. It’s not perfect when you look closely, but overall it’s a really nice and colorful touch to my living room. Please click the “continue reading” button to see the pictures.
